Can high myopia be a double eyelid?
High myopia can generally be double eyelid surgery. High myopia is mainly caused by ametropia, and double eyelid surgery is mainly in eyelid, which has nothing to do with eyeball. There is no conflict between the two, and generally it will not have an impact. According to our own situation, we can choose the appropriate double eyelid surgery method to improve it. The common methods are buried double eyelids and full-cut double eyelids.

1. Embedding double eyelids: It is a relatively simple method, which requires making a hidden incision in the eyelid, directly burying the suture between the skin and the meibomian, and making the skin of the upper eyelid adhere to the meibomian to form double eyelids, thus achieving the effect of double eyelids, but the maintenance time is time-limited. If the eye myopia is serious, you can directly choose this method to make double eyelids, which is relatively simple and convenient;

2, full cut double eyelids: usually make an incision in the eyelid, by removing excess skin and adipose tissue, and then fix the eyelid skin at the required height to form double eyelids, in order to achieve the effect of double eyelids. But in high myopia, the eyeball may protrude. If this method is used carelessly, it may aggravate exophthalmos, make it difficult to close and even cause infection. If there is infection, you need to use anti-inflammatory eye drops, such as levofloxacin eye drops, on time after completion. High myopia has nothing to do with cutting double eyelids, so it does not affect double eyelid surgery. The biggest harm of high myopia is its influence on vision. If the degree is high, such as more than 1000 degrees, fundus complications may occur in this case, including atrophy of retina and choroid, retinal atrophy focus, exposure of great vessels of vein membrane, macular splitting, macular hemorrhage, retinal detachment, retinal tear and so on. These will have a very serious impact on vision. For patients with high myopia, attention should be paid to avoiding strenuous exercise in daily life to prevent serious complications. In daily life, we need to pay attention to reasonable eye habits to prevent further aggravation of myopia, but high myopia does not affect double eyelid surgery's treatment.
