Litchi doesn't bear fruit, how to prune it?
The pruning period of immature and fruitless litchi trees is not strict, and it can generally be carried out in each growing season. However, in the process of pruning, we should pay attention to the shape of the tree, prune by branches, and master it flexibly. Excessive pruning should not affect the tree potential.

The pruning of fruit trees (young, middle and adult trees) has a certain time limit. The important period is to apply quick-acting fertilizer after litchi harvest, so that the trees can enter after recovery.

Normal comprehensive pruning, jujube tree retraction, renewal pruning and thinning can be carried out in different parts at will according to the requirements of cultivating high-yield crown. In the bud germination period, the over-dense buds can be wiped off. After each new shoot matures, some weak branches and over-dense branches can also be thinned according to the specific situation.

In addition, litchi fruiting trees should not be pruned in autumn and winter, that is, they should not be pruned after the fruiting mother branch of the last autumn shoot matures, otherwise, it will promote vegetative growth (stimulate the germination of winter shoots), destroy the balance between vegetative growth and reproductive growth, and is not conducive to flowering and fruit setting.
