Today, I will continue to learn Eight Catches of Rich Dad.
Mental IQ
Spiritual intelligence is located in the heart of the body. The word "courage" comes from the French word "le Coeur", which means "heart".
Greatness comes from within. The same is true of death, which is why people die of heart attacks or fatigue.
Military training plays an important role in developing the spiritual intelligence of recruits. People with high mental IQ have a sense of mission and put mission and team in the most important position in life.
As General douglas macarthur said:
Without the determination to win, the war will fail.
Training entrepreneurs
In order to make the enterprise develop forward, an entrepreneur needs to have the following intelligence:
1. Mental IQ For entrepreneurs, mental IQ is the most important IQ. Entrepreneurs need a strong sense of mission, a commitment to a higher purpose in life, and other reasons to join the enterprise besides the simple desire to make money.
On my first day at the military academy, my first job was to remember the mission of the military academy. We are taught that "mission is spiritual strength". Spiritual strength and mental intelligence are obtained through four years of hellish training and life.
As General george patton once said:
Fighting for something is better than living aimlessly.
2. Emotional intelligence
For entrepreneurs, EQ is the second most important intelligence. Entrepreneurs must know how to stay calm under pressure, react through thinking rather than instinct, and know when to wait and when to take action.
General douglas macarthur's other sentence is very appropriate:
Anyone who says that a pen is more powerful than a gun bore is obviously not strafed by automatic weapons.
3. Physical intelligence
For entrepreneurs, physical intelligence is the third most important intelligence. One must "know how to do it". In the spiritual world of entrepreneurs, only by knowing how to do and fulfill their promises can they achieve success and the benefits and honors that come with it.
As Winston Churchill said:
We slept well at night because there were soldiers who lived in the wind and slept in the open air standing there to protect us from the invading troops. 4. Spiritual intelligence
Intelligence is also very important, but it is the least important intelligence in the entrepreneurial world.
Robert A. heinlein, a civilian contractor of military engineering, summarized his role in intelligence as follows:
Civilians are like beans. When you need employees who only require skills and understanding, it's as easy as buying beans. But you can't buy fighting spirit.
This may be the fundamental reason why some of the greatest and richest entrepreneurs did not finish their studies. As a great entrepreneur or a soldier who serves the country, he needs to have all four aspects of intelligence, especially spiritual intelligence, which can continue to be provided even when other factors disappear.
Power.
One of my junior high school classmates, Ricky Richardson, is engaged in long-range reconnaissance patrol in the army. During the Vietnam War, he spent a long time in Laos. He once said to me, "I can live to this day because my soul has been fighting."
As an entrepreneur, you also need this spirit!
Entrepreneurs who have not completed their studies but have a strong spirit are:
Steve Jobs: Apple Computer
Bill Gates: Microsoft Corporation
Henry Ford: Ford Motor Company
Walter Disney: Disneyland, Disney movies.
Oprah winfrey: oprah winfrey Internet Company.
Mark zuckerberg: Facebook.
Richard branson: Virgin Group
Michael dell: Dell Computer.
Thomas Edison: It is essential for people who want to be doctors, lawyers or corporate executives to graduate from a good university, but it is not necessary for people who want to be entrepreneurs.
You may be familiar with this sentence: "Education is the gateway to the middle class."
My rich father said, "Entrepreneurship is an elevator to prosperity."
Mission, courage, sacrifice
1one day in August, 972, I took off from the American helicopter landing ship "Okinawa" docked on the coast of Vietnam. My gunner is a young corporal. He has just received a letter from his wife. She gave birth to their first child, a boy.
After the young father checked his M-60 machine gun, I patted him on the shoulder. I want to make sure whether he is ready for the flight. I asked him, "If your son grows up without a father, can you accept it?"
After understanding my concern, the young marine smiled and replied, "No problem, sir. I am ready. " Then he smiled again and assured me that he was really ready-he could sacrifice if necessary. Then he said, "Captain, you do your job. I will do my job well. "
Five months later, the young father went home to visit his son for the first time. He does his job and I do mine.
As General george patton said:
The goal of war is not to die for your country, but to die for those bastards.
Two years later.
1In June, 974, my contract with the Marine Corps expired. I have been in the army for 9 years, including 4 years in the military academy and 5 years in the marine corps. I grew up in the army in every way.
I drove away from the Marine Corps Airport in Canio Bay and went to work for Xerox in downtown Honolulu, Lu Lu badminton. I had a rest before changing the cultural environment.
It is not easy to learn to work with civilians. It is not easy to go to work and socialize with former hippies. Others spit on our retired soldiers and called us "baby killers".
It's not easy to work with a young boss about my age. This guy evaded his obligation to serve his country and go to war by means of "extension of his student status". Every time I listen to this guy laughing and bragging about how he used the "extension of student status" to avoid military service and climb to the position of company leader, while others risked their lives in Vietnam, I spent a lot of emotional intelligence to bite the bullet. In downtown Lu Lu badminton, the words between "common people" and "enterprise soldiers" reflect the lack of emotional intelligence. The words of many employees in the company unanimously reflect the mood of "fear". They repeatedly talk about "job security", worry about "being fired", indulge in "needing my salary" and "climbing the ladder" in the company position. I guess they will always ask themselves, "Do I have any money to spend when I retire?"
In the enterprise, I was shocked to hear people say "I can't do it" and "maybe" repeatedly. The words they use, such as "I will try", "I may" or "I hope", are forbidden in the Marine Corps.
People who have read my other works already know that my rich father doesn't allow his son and me to use these words. He often says, "The poor say' I can't afford it' and the rich ask' How can I afford it?' "
In the army, what officers say is spiritual, from the heart and from the soul. Military education begins with teaching everyone to speak with spiritual words, such as mission, courage, responsibility, honor, service and norms.
Speech from the heart and soul can inspire their spirit and become great fighters, entrepreneurs and leaders in all walks of life.
Let's call it a day. Come on!
