A preparation method of Abelmoschus manihot gum includes the processes of cleaning raw materials, crushing and drying. It is characterized in that (1) the gum of Abelmoschus manihot is separated from the roots and stems, chopped and crushed respectively, the thickness of which passes through a sieve with an aperture of 1 mm, and the thickness of which passes through a sieve with an aperture of 0.45-0.076 mm, so as to prepare the finished rubber powder; (2) secondly, adding an organic settling agent into the extracted clear liquid, and carrying out centrifugal precipitation, low-temperature drying, grinding and sieving to obtain a finished product of vegetable gum; (3) removing leaves and fruits from the roots and stems of fresh Abelmoschus manihot, cleaning, separating the roots and stems, beating with a pump or a machine respectively, adding a proper amount of water to dissolve into a solution, carrying out centrifugal separation or heating and standing for extraction, adding the organic settling agent into the extracted clear liquid, and separating the precipitation.
