First, planting time
Luffa seeds germinate well in the temperature range of 28 ~ 30℃. Judging from its growth habits, the most suitable planting time is summer, and the climate and temperature are suitable. The seeds can germinate better after planting, and the seedlings grow vigorously in the later stage, which is convenient for management. Be careful not to plant it too early, especially in the north.
Second, soil preparation and fertilization
It is best to choose a plot with deep soil layer, fertile soil and good drainage to plant loofah. After selecting a good plot, appropriate amount of base fertilizer should be applied to improve soil fertility. We should also dig ditches to make beds, and then plant them when they are ready.
Third, sowing and planting.
It is best to soak the loofah seeds in clear water for 3 to 4 hours before burial, and then take them out and put them in a warm environment for 24 hours. This treatment can promote them to germinate faster and improve the emergence rate. When planting, dig a small hole every 30 to 40 cm, and put 3 to 4 seeds in each hole. After planting, cover with a thin layer of soil and keep moisture properly, and seedlings will soon emerge.
Fourth, post-management
Water the loofah seeds properly after planting to ensure that the soil is slightly wet. After emergence, it is necessary to interplant in time to ensure that two seedlings are left in each hole. At seedling stage, topdressing should be done in time according to the growth situation to ensure sufficient fertilizer and water to promote its vigorous growth. When it grows to a certain length, it should be erected in time and let it grow along the shelf.
