The Reproductive Medicine Center of Ruijin Hospital, established in 200 1, is a new discipline. Under the leadership of Professor Yun Feng, the director of the Center, and with the joint efforts of all medical technicians and graduate students in the Reproductive Medicine Center, the discipline of reproductive medicine in Ruijin Hospital was established and developed, and passed the evaluation of the Ministry of Health in 2004, which made our hospital qualified to carry out human assisted reproductive technology and became one of the first three hospitals in Shanghai to carry out human assisted reproductive technology. After more than five years of operation, the reproductive center has entered a normal track, gradually developed and expanded, formed a good atmosphere of professionalism and unity, and established a series of norms such as perfect diagnosis and treatment process, post responsibility system, laboratory quality monitoring system and medical record registration and follow-up system. Due to the excellent and standardized operation, the clinical pregnancy rate and implantation rate of the center have been continuously improved, ranking at the advanced level in China.

The Department of Hematology of Ruijin Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine was established in 1970s. Under the impetus of its founder, a famous hematology expert in China, an international authority on tumor induced differentiation therapy, an academician of China Academy of Engineering and a foreign academician of French Academy of Sciences, Shanghai Institute of Hematology was established successively in Ruijin Hospital, Renji Hospital, Xinhua Hospital, Hematology Department of the Ninth People's Hospital and Pathophysiology Department of the Second Medical University, 65438-0987.
