The blade shapes of Lai Ci centrifugal fan impeller are single plate, arc and airfoil.

Wing blades have good aerodynamic characteristics, high efficiency, good strength and high stiffness. Its disadvantage is that the manufacturing process is complex, and the blades are easy to wear when conveying gas with high dust concentration. After the blade is worn, impurities enter the blade, which makes the impeller out of balance and produces vibration. The straight blade is simple to manufacture, but its flow characteristics are poor. Compared with airfoil blades, the efficiency of flat curved backward blades is very similar at other working points except the highest efficiency point.

Forward impeller generally adopts arc blades. In the backward fan impeller, large fans mostly use airfoil blades, and the induced draft fan of coal-fired boiler with low dust removal efficiency can use arc or flat blades. At present, centrifugal fans are mostly flat blades.
