Hangzhou Medical College is a full-time public undergraduate college sponsored by Zhejiang Provincial People's Government, located in Hangzhou, which enjoys the reputation of "paradise on earth". Its predecessor was Zhejiang Women's Obstetrics School, which was founded in 1925. It has been running for more than 90 years.
Hangzhou Medical College is one of the medical colleges with the largest number of primary medical and health services and health industry-related majors in the province.
Undergraduate major 15, junior college major 12. It has four provincial-level discipline (Class B) construction projects, 12 provincial-level medical key disciplines,/kloc-0 provincial-level higher education key majors, 2 provincial-level dominant majors, 7 provincial-level characteristic majors and 2 professional construction projects supported by the central government, and has won the first batch of "excellent doctor education and training plan" pilot projects. There are 4 directly affiliated hospitals and non-directly affiliated hospitals, 68 off-campus practice teaching bases 168, and 3 on-campus training bases 13 (including 6 provincial demonstration training bases supported by the central government).
There are industry-oriented training and research institutions such as the National Physician Qualification Examination Practice Skills Examination Base and Examiner Training Base (public health), Provincial Rural Doctor Training School, Provincial Primary Health Research Center, Provincial School Health Care Guidance Center, Provincial Drug Policy Research Center, Provincial Professional Skills Appraisal Station Appraisal Base of Pharmaceutical Industry, Siemens Cooperative Training Center, and American Heart Association Cardiovascular Emergency Training Center.
