Taian 88 Hospital (China People's Liberation Army No.88 Hospital) has experienced the baptism of anti-Japanese beacon fire, walked through the smoke of Huaihai battlefield and bathed in the wind and rain in peacetime since its establishment 68 years ago. It is the first batch of third-class first-class hospitals, the first batch of first-class blood collection and supply hospitals, and the first batch of baby-friendly hospitals recognized by the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization.

For 19 years in a row, the hospital maintained the record of winning the second prize of the whole army every year, and enjoyed a high reputation both inside and outside the military. In many battles such as fighting floods, fighting SARS and ensuring major drills, countless wounded and sick people were rescued.
