At present, the academic system of the college is 5 years of undergraduate and 3 years of postgraduate stomatology education. There are 8 teaching and research departments, including oral anatomy and physiology, oral histopathology, oral imaging diagnosis, oral and maxillofacial surgery, stomatology, oral preventive medicine, children's stomatology, prosthodontics and orthodontics, 1 experimental teaching center of stomatology, 1 institute of stomatology. The college actively promoted the reform of education and teaching, updated the concept of education and teaching, reformed the teaching methods and means, actively reformed the personnel training mode, and explored a set of practical curriculum system for stomatology specialty.
The college has rich practical teaching resources. There are 1 directly affiliated stomatological hospitals, 2 non-directly affiliated stomatological hospitals and 18 practice teaching hospitals. The teaching instruments and equipment are complete and the experimental conditions are superior. Total fixed assets exceed120,000 yuan.
The college has always adhered to connotation development and scientific development, and made great progress in discipline and specialty construction. 1999- 12 stomatology specialty was identified as the pilot specialty of stomatology teaching reform in Shandong province. In June 2003, stomatology was awarded as a provincial key discipline. In February, 2005, the curriculum system and teaching content reform of stomatology specialty oriented to the 2 1 century won the first prize of higher education teaching achievement of Shandong Provincial People's Government. From June 5th to February, 2006, stomatology was awarded as a characteristic specialty in universities in Shandong Province. From June to 10, 2007, the teaching team of oral and maxillofacial surgery was awarded as the teaching team of Shandong Province. From June, 5438 to February, 2007, stomatology was rated as a national first-class professional construction site. From June to 10, 2008, oral clinical medicine was identified as the key discipline of Binzhou Medical College to strengthen engineering construction. In July 2009, the experimental teaching center of stomatology was identified as the experimental teaching demonstration center of ordinary colleges and universities in Shandong Province. Nearly 200 papers have been published in recent five years, and 6 papers have been included in SCI. Published monograph 15, 8 scientific research achievements won awards at or above the bureau level, and now undertake projects at or above the bureau level 16.
