You can buy these two kinds or make them yourself.
These two kinds of purchases and self-made can be used.

1, bark

When you open the package, most orchids you buy will add some bark. How did these cries come from? You can find them. You can go to the Woods or green belts by yourself, because many green belts have pine trees and willows. When these trees grow for a certain number of years, some of their skins will naturally dry up and fall off. Just go to the trees and break them off with your hands. These dry barks are the best, because they have rotted to some extent after weathering, or you can pick up those rotten barks from the ground.

Both willow bark and pine bark can be used. Pick it up and cut it into small pieces within one centimeter with pliers or scissors. Do not use it directly after cutting it into small pieces. First, find a big washbasin or bucket and soak them in it. It usually takes two to three days for the bark to be completely soaked. Then, take them out, pour out the water, put them in a sealed incubator and cover them with plastic film.

Of course, you don't have to ferment in the sun, because simple wind and sun will rot, and the bark will ferment slowly and the process of decay will be slow, so there will be no root burning when planting orchids. It is best to seal fermentation. Go out and find more when you have time, and put it in a container and seal it. When can I take it out to dry in advance?

2. Peanut shells

Peanuts are eaten by every household, raw peeled shells can be used, and original fried peanut shells can also be used. Collect these peanut shells, grind them directly into small pieces of about one centimeter with your feet, then soak them in water for a few hours to soak them thoroughly, then find an incubator or plastic bag and put them in the sun for a month. If you feel dark by hand, you can crush it and ferment it.

You can find these two kinds by yourself, and it is good to mix them with orchid soil. Of course, you can buy fermented bark or peanut shells online, or you can buy them. When in use, the method of mixing orchid soil is very simple. If you have perlite, you can use perlite. If there is no perlite, you can find some small stones. The particle size of stone is within 6 mm to 10 mm, and the bark, peanut shell, pebbles or perlite are mixed according to the ratio of1:1:and orchids can be planted directly.

If you water it, dig out the earthen basin and air it for one or two centimeters, and then water it thoroughly in time. No matter what kind of orchid it is, don't spread it. Orchids should use special pots as much as possible, which are porous. Any orchid can be planted indoors without rotting roots or leaves. As long as you water and fertilize, new seedlings will soon grow and bloom naturally at flowering time.
