This film is based on the novel of the same name by Charles Dickens. At the beginning of19th century, the death of an adult man was undoubtedly an unexpected trouble for a less wealthy family. The sudden death of Nicholas's father plunged a family of three into the abyss of life. Young Nicholas was forced to take on the heavy responsibility of bringing home the bacon.
