Hubei local opera, also known as Mianyang ancient painting opera, is a national intangible cultural heritage, which was formed in the Qing Dynasty. Folk songs and dances such as Flower Drum, Lotus Picking Boat, Falling Lotus and Knocking on Vegetables, and mainstream folk rap such as Tian Ge, Sanbanggu, Fishing Drum, Daoqing, etc., have become the source of Mianyang Flower Drum Opera. The sound cavity of Mianyang ancient painting opera is developed from four major cavities (Gao cavity, Qinshui cavity, Gong cavity and Siping cavity) and rich minor tunes, which has distinct regional characteristics of Jianghan Plain. Traditional plays include Thirteen Verses and Standing on the Flower Wall.
2. Mianyang Xiaoqu
Also known as "vegetable ditty" or "inland ditty". A kind of "folk song" in Hanshui River Valley, with high-pitched and beautiful tunes, is a kind of singing art.. Its musical style is formed according to the characteristics of four tones in Mianyang dialect, which is one of the more prominent types of Hubei ditty. It has a long history, connected with Mianyang folk songs and their roots and branches in Ming and Qing Dynasties, and absorbed the singing methods of neighboring provinces, becoming the most musical singing art in Hubei local folk art. The form of Mianyang ditty singing is simple and flexible. The form of performance can be sung by one person on a disc or by two or more people on a stringed instrument.
3. Mianyang carved paper-cut
Contrary to the bold characteristics of northern paper-cutting, it is implicit. In 2008, it was approved by the State Council as a national intangible cultural heritage list, and 20 10 was selected as a representative list of United Nations cultural heritage. 4. Over the past nine days

5. Flower Festival
February 12th of the lunar calendar is the Flower Festival. Mianyang has a traditional custom of Flower Festival. Although it is not as grand as other festivals, it will always be remembered by people. The lyrics in Mianyang ditty "Full Moon Lang" are "May my Lang come (ah) February (ah), which is the Flower Festival * *". In the past, some men and women got married and chose the wedding date as the flower festival; Some of them were in Hiuke on February 12, and your son was named Huachao. Xiao Hua Chao, a famous Huagu Opera artist in Xiaojianao, Zhanggou Town, was born on February 12. According to legend, February 12th is the birthday of Baihua, so it is called Huachao.
