1, ultra-light and lightweight functional coating
This kind of jacket is light and can be rolled into a ball to carry. The material used in this jacket is almost completely competent for fast marching, orienteering or hiking with light load and simple terrain. However, due to its very light weight, it has to make some compromises in scratch resistance and tear resistance.
2, middleweight functional coat
More durable, but heavier than a lightweight functional coat. The middleweight functional coat is mainly used for moderate-intensity hiking, cycling or low-altitude mountaineering. Obviously, the range of application of middleweight functional outerwear is wider than that of light functional outerwear, but in order to reduce the weight of clothes on the basis of enhancing their functionality as much as possible, major manufacturers still make great efforts in manufacturing materials and processes.
3, adventure special functional coat
The design concept of this jacket is relatively simple, and it is usually the explorer's most loyal friend. With such a dress, you can cope with all kinds of complicated and bad weather conditions that ordinary people can't imagine. When the situation around you is getting worse, you will find how lucky you are to have such a dress. For example, when marching on foot in complex terrain, it is likely to be hit by heavy rain and there is nowhere to hide. You know, being in heavy rain for a long time is exactly the same as being in the snow, and the surrounding temperature is only a few degrees apart. At this time, a special functional coat will protect your body like a shell, so that you can avoid rain soaking and rapid drop of body surface temperature.
Second, three misunderstandings about jackets
Myth 1: The warmer the coat, the better.
There are many kinds of outdoor clothes, such as ski suits and jackets. What is the difference between a jacket and a ski suit? We wrote a special article before. As far as warmth is concerned, ski suits are indeed much warmer than jackets, but for general weather conditions, it is enough to buy a jacket that can engage in ordinary outdoor sports. If you don't often take part in skiing, it's too wasteful to buy ski clothes, which is really unnecessary. I suggest that you might as well use the money saved to buy other equipment, so that when you are doing outdoor sports, you will have complete equipment and convenient travel.
Myth 2: The more expensive the coat, the better.
Many people don't know much about the grading system of outdoor sports, thinking that the more expensive the coat, the better, which will bring greater protection and help to themselves. In fact, this is not necessarily the case. Although some jackets are not expensive, the quality is still good because of advanced technology.
Myth 3: Jackets are casual clothes.
With various jacket brands entering the market, the price of jackets has also declined. Many coats are designed by well-known fashion designers, with a strong sense of fashion, dynamic colors and super warmth. The performance of these jackets makes many people choose jackets as their daily wear. In fact, jackets are not casual clothes, but are mainly designed for outdoor sports, and they are very functional. Of course, in your usual work, you can choose a thinner coat as work clothes, which is also a very good choice.
Third, the washing method of the coat
1, local cleaning
First of all, when wearing, pay attention to avoid oil stains and substances that are not easy to clean, reduce the number of cleaning times, and prevent excessive cleaning from damaging the film. If a certain part of the clothes is dirty, it can be washed locally to avoid soiling other parts and affecting the overall appearance. It is recommended to use universal foam cleaner, shake it thoroughly before use, then spray foam evenly on the surface of clothes at a distance of about 20CM from the stained part, wait for 30~50 seconds, and then gently wipe the stained surface with cotton cloth.
Step 2 wash the whole dress
In the production process, in order to ensure the waterproof, breathable and windproof performance, various coatings or films are used on the fabric of the jacket, and the film will not be naturally damaged, but excessive external force and corrosive substances will damage the film, so the jacket can not be dry-cleaned and machine-washed, and generally it can only be washed by sailors at about 40 degrees.
Soak the clothes completely first, and then wipe the surface of the clothes directly with a sponge or cotton cloth dipped in a proper amount of detergent. Must use neutral detergent, not bleach and softener. Simply knead and rinse until the water becomes clear.
3, use professional clothing cleaner to clean.
Professional clothing cleaner is suitable for washing waterproof and breathable fabrics, which can achieve better washing effect when used in jackets.
Soak the clothes completely first, then pour 100 ml detergent (suitable for two clothes) for about 10 minutes, and then scrub with sponge or cotton cloth. For local stubborn stains, you can directly wipe them with a sponge or cotton cloth dipped in a proper amount of cleaning liquid. After cleaning, rinse until the water becomes clear.
4. Waterproof maintenance
If you want the original waterproof and breathable jacket to maintain its original splash-proof effect, you should also use water-washed waterproof clothing waterproof agent for maintenance: put the wet clothes in clear water (no need to dry them directly), then pour 50 ml of water-washed waterproof clothing waterproof agent (suitable for two clothes), fully soak for 20 minutes, and then rinse with cold water until the water becomes clear.
5. Drying
Don't twist it hard after cleaning, just hang it in a ventilated place with a hanger and stretch it and drain it. To avoid exposure to the sun, don't use the dryer.
