There are two kinds of grading institutions: one is the national inter-provincial grading institutions; The second is the provincial examination institutions, which can only carry out examinations in one province.
Inter-provincial grading institutions include: China Musicians Association, China National Orchestra Society, China Conservatory of Music, Central Conservatory of Music, Beijing Dance Academy, China Academy of Fine Arts, China Opera, China Academy of Art, China Secondary Education Society and Shanghai Conservatory of Music. There are more than 60 grading agencies in each province. Inter-provincial institutions generally have contractors all over the country.
