Probe into the "epidemic situation": the current situation of car companies and dealers returning to work and production
With the gradual weakening of the epidemic situation in novel coronavirus, since February 10, many industries have gradually resumed their work and production while doing a good job in epidemic prevention, and the automobile industry is no exception.

Recently, Buya.com interviewed more than 20 car companies and visited the corresponding dealers. The final result shows that the rate of car companies and dealers returning to work is gradually increasing, but the production capacity and actual operation have not returned to the state before the Spring Festival. Some insiders pointed out that this situation will continue for some time before the end of the epidemic.

Car companies: welcome to return to work for many rounds? The product has not been fully recovered.

Speaking of returning to work, SAIC Chase, Yutong Bus, jiangling motors, etc. It can be regarded as the first car company to approve the work. Because during the Spring Festival, these car companies received production tasks, produced a large number of negative pressure ambulances and ambulances, and continued to transport them to areas in need.

After that, car companies delayed by the epidemic ushered in wave after wave of resumption of work. First, on February 10, SAIC, BAIC, Weilai Automobile, Xpeng Motors, and Tesla Giga Shanghai all resumed their work after taking full epidemic prevention measures.

A week later, on February 17, car companies ushered in a wave of return to work. Guangzhou Automobile Group production line officially started; Weimar's automobile factory and battery factory in Wenzhou resumed production across the board; Toyota's two vehicle factories in Changchun and Guangzhou officially started construction. According to the data released by China Automobile Industry Association, as of February 18, 2008, the auto industry's return to work rate has exceeded 75%.

Then another week, on February 24, another wave of car companies resumed work. For example, SAIC Volkswagen officially said that its Anting, Yizheng and Changsha factories officially resumed work on February 24. At the same time, SAIC-GM also fully resumed work on February 24th.

It can be seen that most car companies have started to return to work. However, it should be noted that the resumption of work does not mean the full recovery of production capacity. Ya Bu. Com understands that the production capacity of factories that have resumed work like SAIC has not fully recovered. At present, all the factories that have resumed work are producing in single shift, and most of them are producing in three shifts.

Of course, the incomplete recovery of production capacity is also directly related to the insufficient supply of spare parts. As we all know, the automobile industry has a long chain, involving spare parts suppliers, sales services and other related enterprises, and these enterprises have not resumed work or their production capacity has not recovered, which directly or indirectly affects the recovery of automobile enterprises' production capacity.

Compared with the production capacity of these car companies that have started to resume work, the car companies located in Hubei, the hardest hit area of the epidemic, are facing greater challenges because of the repeated extension of the resumption time. Earlier, the prevention and control headquarters of novel coronavirus, Hubei Province issued a notice saying that the time for all kinds of enterprises in the province to resume work should not be earlier than 24: 00 on March/KLOC-0.

According to the car purchase network, Dongfeng Honda's factory has not resumed work, which also means that Dongfeng Honda will experience a full 48-day "empty window period" from the official suspension of work in Wuhan on June 23, 65438 1 1 to the official resumption of work in March. At the same time, Dongfeng Renault's factory in Wuhan and Shenlong Automobile also announced the official resumption of work no earlier than 24: 00 on March 10. The specific time will be notified separately according to the change of epidemic situation and relevant government requirements.

Dealer: the comprehensive efficiency of returning to work is gradually improving? Performance recovery takes time.

In fact, in addition to car companies, dealers are gradually returning to work. 10 Since February, china automobile dealers association (hereinafter referred to as the Circulation Association) has conducted a follow-up survey on the dealers' post-holiday return to work. The statistics released on March 2 show that the comprehensive return to work efficiency of dealers has increased from 7.5% to 36.6 1%.

Specifically, in terms of the resumption rate of opening stores, most dealers closed down in the first half of February, and resumed work in the third week, with a resumption rate of about 50%, and resumed work in a large area in the fourth week. The return to work rate of shops increased from 1 1 in February to 7 1% on March 2, and the phenomenon of employees waiting for work gradually increased.

It is true that the same is true from the car-buying network. From the beginning of February, the offline stores of Tesla and Weilai Automobile, which can be opened at any time in direct mode, were opened, and some dealer parks were opened on February 10, and then some dealers officially resumed work on February 17, and the number of offline stores was gradually increasing.

Of course, in order to cope with the impact of the epidemic, before and after the opening of offline stores, some dealers increased their online marketing efforts, including VR exhibition halls, live car sales, and WeChat group construction. , and carry out sales and after-sales service in a zero-contact way.

It is worth mentioning that the circulation association pointed out that the gradual recovery of the business order of automobile dealers and the continuous improvement of the rate of returning to work benefited from the strong support of relevant government departments and automobile manufacturers. Those dealers who didn't return to work were from the perspective of safety, and the management control of the local government was the main reason for not returning to work.

Although the efficiency of returning to work is gradually improving, just as car companies have failed to fully restore production capacity, most dealers have not returned to normal business rhythm. The data shows that the sales efficiency, that is, the current vehicle sales can reach the same period of last year, from 4. 1% to 24.9%; After-sales efficiency, that is, the current after-sales output value can reach the same period of last year, from 4.7% to 3 1. 1%.

Buying a car network visited the offline stores of dealers and found that most offline stores are still in duty mode at present, and 3 or 4 salespeople will take turns to be on duty at the store, while other staff responsible for staging procedures and insurance are basically in a remote office state, and will only go to the store when necessary.

To sum up, it is not difficult to see that both car manufacturers and dealers are gradually returning to work, but the impact of the epidemic has not dissipated, and car companies and dealers have not returned to their previous business rhythm. But at the same time, we should also see that the epidemic momentum is gradually weakening, and car companies and dealers are gradually on the right track, which also makes us believe that after the epidemic, the development of the domestic automobile industry will gradually return to a healthy track.
