Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, referred to as "Beijing Medical University", is a national key university with Chinese medicine characteristics directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). It was jointly built by the Ministry of Education, the National Health and Wellness Commission, state administration of traditional chinese medicine and Beijing. It is the first batch of world-class discipline construction universities in China.

Mainly for Chinese medicine colleges, nursing colleges and international colleges, including Chinese medicine laboratories, nursing buildings and international college buildings. Beijing University of Chinese Medicine was founded in 1956, formerly known as Beijing College of Chinese Medicine, and is the earliest institution of higher learning of Chinese medicine approved by the State Council. 65438-0960, the school was designated as a national key university by the central government.
