The so-called one or two colleges for college entrance examination are actually ordinary colleges at the undergraduate level. Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology was founded in February 1959, formerly known as Beijing Textile Vocational and Technical College. 1961July was renamed Beijing Chemical Fiber Institute. 1February, 1987, it was rebuilt and expanded into Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, becoming the first public full-time ordinary college named after clothing in China. There are more than 8,600 students, including more than 5,900 undergraduates, more than 850 doctoral and master students, more than 300 international students, and more than 600 adult students/kloc-0. There are 28 undergraduate majors and 4 double-degree majors.
