Teacher Hu is an intellectual and gentle woman. When you first met her, you couldn't tell that she was over sixty. I saw her fair-skinned, tall, wearing a small ivory hat, a long red dress, a brown scarf around her neck and a chic brooch on her chest. We are very envious of Mr. Hu's beautiful clothes, which were designed and crocheted by herself.
In the face of our various problems, Mr. Hu explained his origin with crochet.
More than forty years ago, Mr. Hu left home before the age of 18, and settled in the countryside of Hai 'an. Because of his young age and lack of physical strength, he was arranged to be a teacher in kindergarten. Hai 'an is the hometown of crochet. At that time, many local rural housewives used their leisure time to process crochet works for foreign trade enterprises as a sideline to supplement their family income. Teacher Hu saw that they often held the coil under their arms, holding the needle in one hand and winding it in the other. Under their hands, a lace and the embryonic form of a flower appeared. They were envious and wanted to try it themselves. The idea at that time was very simple, that is, I wanted to earn some money to subsidize my family, because crocheting a dress could earn seven or eight dollars.
The ideal is beautiful, but the reality is often frustrating. Teacher Hu's first work failed the quality inspection. Teacher Hu recalled to us that the person in charge of quality inspection at that time said that something was hooked and threw clothes at me. That dress was hooked with a black line, and it covered my head at once. I felt dark in front of me, like a dark cloud. I felt very sad at that time, but I am a strong person. I thought that one day, I would hook up better than you! It is with this indomitable spirit that Mr. Hu dismantled the hook and untied it, studying hard and practicing hard. During the ten years when he jumped the queue in Hai 'an, he crocheted by hand every day, and it was hard to count how many works * * * knitted. Ten years later, the educated youth returned to the city, and she was not only skillful and perfect in knitting, but also able to design and sample independently.
After returning to the city, Mr. Hu entered the factory and became a family. Work has nothing to do with crochet, but Mr. Hu didn't put down crochet. While working to take care of her family, she continued to design proofs for foreign trade factories. Teacher Hu told us with a smile that my income from crochet design is twice as much as my salary in the power plant. The pride is beyond words.
With the improvement of teacher Hu's crochet design level, more and more foreign trade companies come to you. Teacher Hu started his own company, specializing in the foreign trade of crochet products, designing and proofing himself, and then outsourcing processing. At that time, the little girl who became attached to crochet in Hai 'an rural area was found unqualified by quality inspection and humiliated in public. Now she has become the boss of a foreign trade company focusing on crochet business, which makes people cry. For diligent people, time will prove everything!
After retirement, Mr. Hu still can't let go of crochet. By chance, she came to the university for the aged and took a group of retired old classmates to learn crochet. Teacher Hu's philosophy is that the inheritance of intangible heritage should start with the elderly. She feels that with the accelerated pace of life, young people rarely settle down to learn crochet, while the elderly, after years of accumulation, are more and more patient and quiet, which is the most suitable for learning crochet. As for age, it is not a problem at all. She teaches every year and new students come to learn every year. So crochet won't spread? Up to now, Mr. Hu has been teaching in the university for the aged for four years. Many of her students have fallen in love with crochet like her and decorated their lives with beautiful works.
In the interview, Teacher Hu showed us some of her works. There are children's cute little shoes and cloaks, ladies' scarves and dresses with novel designs, warm household items and small and chic key rings. We are amazed at the exquisite works, and everyone can't help but feel a little excited and yearning for crochet. Mr. Hu stood by, patiently answering our various questions, with a smile on his lips. Looking at her cheerful appearance, I think she must be very happy and proud at the moment.
The little girl began to learn crochet at the age of 17, and at the age of 17, she could fly with her bare hands and design beautiful and unique crochet works. Teacher Hu's life has become attached to crochet, which makes it more beautiful and colorful!
