Yu 'an District is a newly established district after the establishment of Lu 'an District in February 1999. Located in the west of Anhui Province, at the northern foot of Dabie Mountain, between Jianghuai. East to Jin 'an District, north to Shouxian County, south to Huoshan, west to Huoqiu and Jinzhai. The whole region governs 19 townships and 3 streets. The resident of the district government is Yunlu Street, Lu 'an City. The total area of the region is 1925.89 square kilometers, including 7.3 square kilometers in the urban area. The total population is 938,000, of which 835,000 are agricultural. There are 703,000 mu of cultivated land, including 550,000 mu of paddy field, 6,543,800 mu of dry land and 0.77 mu of cultivated land per capita. Yu 'an District is surrounded by mountains and waters, and the local conditions are pleasant. Dabie Mountain is located in the southwest, and the Pi River runs through the east. The terrain inclines from south to north, and hills alternate with hills. It is mountainous in the southwest, hilly in the northwest and bay area in the east. The main canal of Pi River, a famous water control project, passes through the territory. Yu 'an District has a mild climate and belongs to the East Asian monsoon region on the northern edge of the north subtropical zone. The annual average temperature 15.5℃, precipitation between 600- 1300mm, frost-free period of 200 days, distinct seasons, obvious monsoon, moderate rainfall and abundant sunshine. Yu 'an District connects the east with the west, and its location is outstanding. Since ancient times, Yu 'an is an important channel in the transitional zone between the southeast coast and the hinterland of the Central Plains, and it is the gateway and transportation hub of Dabie Mountain. Yu 'an District has convenient transportation, only 70km away from Hefei, the provincial capital. Yu 'an has outstanding people and rich products. This is the birthplace of Gaocheng civilization. Before the founding of the People's Republic of China, there were famous Dushan riots and Sujiabao battles here, which nurtured 30 founding generals. Mountain economy and efficient agriculture have their own characteristics. 1999 the total agricultural output value reached 612 million yuan, the total grain output was 334,400 tons, the total oil output was 23,400 tons, the total aquatic products output was 6.5438+03500 tons, and the number of pigs and white geese raised was 2.65438+08000 and 727,000 respectively. The per capita net income of farmers reached 1695 yuan. The agricultural structure has been continuously optimized. The industrial economic structure of Yu 'an District is constantly improving, and key enterprises and leading products are taking shape. There are 72 industrial enterprises such as textile, machinery, food, light industry and building materials. There are a series of fist products, such as "Hoisting Gourd" certified by the Quality Inspection Center of the Ministry of Water Resources, "Song Li" bedsheets, "Whitebait" nets, "Chun Yan" fishing gear, Wanxi down and so on. Leading enterprises such as grain and oil, down products, agricultural gears, forest products processing and water conservancy machinery have obvious advantages. The industrial economy of the whole region shows a good trend of sustained growth. 1999 the annual sales revenue of the whole region is more than 5 million yuan, the industrial output value of state-owned and non-state-owned industrial enterprises is 305 million yuan, and the industrial output value of township enterprises is17.39 million yuan. Yu 'an District enjoys a prosperous business and a stable market. From 65438 to 0999, the total retail sales of social consumer goods in the whole region was 794 million yuan, and the market trade turnover was 480 million yuan. The markets of Dongjie Street, Huangjie Street, Gulou Street, Zizhulin and Nanmen in the urban area have formed professional markets focusing on light industry, textiles, clothing and wholesale of agricultural and sideline products, with strong radiation capacity. Subu, Guzhen, Shunhe, Xuji and other places have built wholesale markets for agricultural products, mainly marijuana, down, vegetables, grain and oil, and their share in the domestic and foreign markets has increased year by year, and their popularity has been continuously improved. The private economy in the whole region is in the ascendant. Clothing and department store wholesale business gathered in Huangjie, Dongjie and Yunlu Street occupies a major share in the city. Private economies such as down and hemp in Xin 'an, Shunhe, Guzhen and Subu have gradually grown into local economic pillars. As a breakthrough in the urban construction of Lu 'an, the transformation of the old city in Yu 'an District has been put on the important agenda of the municipal party committee, the municipal government and Yu 'an District. At the same time, a series of preferential policies such as encouraging foreign investors, domestic enterprises and individuals to invest and introducing talents have been introduced one after another, and "one-stop" services have been implemented to attract foreign investment.
