Computer aided design of clothing
Clothing CAD for short. Using computer to digitize and image clothing styles and pieces, practical clothing styles and pieces can be obtained. It usually includes clothing style design system, two-dimensional clothing computer aided design (2D-CAD) system and three-dimensional clothing computer aided design (3DCAD) system.
As well as the commercial fitting mirror system and the computer aided design system of clothing production management. From the design point of view, the first three items are particularly important. In the early 1970s, the United States took the lead in launching the garment CAD system, and France, the Soviet Union, Japan, Spain, Germany, Britain, Italy and Switzerland also launched the garment CAD system one after another.
In 1980s, garment computer aided manufacturing system (garment CAM system) and garment flexible sewing system (garment FMS) were developed internationally, thus perfecting garment CAD and CAM system.
