The number of piano and calligraphy artists is not fixed, ranging from 1 to 5. The position of musical instruments is generally fixed, with the dulcimer in the center, the soft bow Jinghu and Erhu on the left, and the Quhu and Sanxian on the right, in a fan shape. There are three kinds of singing methods for Qin Shu in eastern Henan: single-mouth, double-mouth and group-mouth. Most of the eastern Henan Qin books circulating in Shangqiu are in groups, with more than three performers, sharing different roles in the repertoire. Singing, reading, doing, playing (dulcimer) and playing are closely combined with each other, with rich sounds and feelings.
Qin Shu is good at telling stories, expressing feelings, speaking and singing, mainly singing. Qin Shu in eastern Henan is unpretentious, melodious and lyrical. Therefore, piano and calligraphy artists should have superb musical instrument playing skills.
