Baixi Town is located 35 kilometers north of Xinhua County, Hunan Province. It is an ancient and famous thousand-year-old town, the hometown of generals, the hometown of tofu and the hometown of simplicity. It is the civilized activity place of Chiyou in the world, the birthplace of Meishan culture, the core area of Meishan culture, and the base of Meishan leader Su Gan and Meishan army. Baixi Town is located in the leading position of Longwan in the middle reaches of Zijiang River, with a unique geographical position. Baixi used to be "Little Nanjing" and now it has the reputation of "Seoul in Central Hunan". The eight scenic spots in the ancient town are famous at home and abroad. Baixi is adjacent to Shenshang Town in the east, Langtang Town and Ronghua Township in the west, Meng Gong Town, Youxi Township and Qing Ji Town in the south, and Nanxiong Township in the north. Baixi Town has five administrative districts (township and collective work offices), 43 administrative villages (communities) and 488 villagers' groups, which are under the responsibility of Youxi Township and Baixi Town Government in Xiangxue Community. The town covers an area of 243.65 square kilometers (20 19) and is located at the foot of Xiongshan Mountain in National Forest Park. In the 1960s, 30,000 people moved from Baixi Town to Zhexi Reservoir, and now the population of the whole town is 82,000 (20 19), among which the community population is very concentrated, and it is a population town, an agricultural town and a flooded reservoir town in the county.
