Zhongning County belongs to zhongwei, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. Located in the middle of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, at the southern end of Ningxia Plain, it borders Wuzhong and Qingtongxia in the east and northeast, and Tongxin County in the south.
It reaches Zhongwei in the west and Alashan Zuo Qi in Inner Mongolia in the north, with a total area of 3,369.58 square kilometers.
