Daya Bay is an important bay in the South China Sea of China, located in Huizhou City, Guangdong Province. Located between Honghai Bay and Dapeng Bay in the east of Guangdong Province. The total area is 650 square kilometers. The hills around the bay are composed of various metamorphic rocks, purple sandstone, tuff or granite in Paleozoic and Mesozoic. The coastal corridor is tortuous and changeable, forming a hidden situation of "big bay with small bay" in coastal waters.

Dapeng 'ao has the best natural conditions in Daya Bay, and the water depth is not silted. It is an excellent port site for building a large-scale deep-water wharf. The bay is pollution-free and rich in aquatic resources, mainly including grouper, yellow fin thick, lobster, blue crab, Pinctada martensii, abalone, Chlamys farreri, sea cucumber, sea urchin, Sargassum and so on. It is a breeding reserve for aquatic resources.
