Wang (1850— 1924), formerly known as Nailang, is a native of Ruian. In the 15th year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (1889), he was a scholar and once taught in Hua Kai. He served as a magistrate in Qian Shan, Wangjiang, Mengcheng and Huoqiu, with remarkable achievements. Later, he was dismissed under a pseudonym for offending the aristocratic family. After returning to his hometown, he devoted himself to local business, culture and education. Chen, He and Xiang Songzuo left his school and wrote "A Poem for Retiring from Si Zhai".
