The contradiction between the words "east of Chishui" and "north of Chishui" can be explained as follows:
1, not the same river.
It's the same river, turning somewhere and changing direction from north to south to east.
It is an oblique river, which should flow from southeast to northwest. The east is also the north, and the west is also the south.
This is a model map of equator or ecliptic.
Xishanjing
If "Bai Yushan" of "West Lake Bai Yushan" is "Yushan", then "Yushan" where the Queen Mother of the West lives may be "Kunlun Mountain". In this entry, it says "Kunlun Mountain is in the west of West Lake, all in the northwest", "West Lake Bai Yushan is in the east of summer, Cangwu is in the southwest of Bai Yushan, all in the west of quicksand and southeast of Kunlun." If these lines are correct, Kunlun Mountain and Kunlun Mountain may not be in the same place, just like Xuanyuan Kingdom and Xuanyuan Mountain.
If "West Lake Bai Yushan" is "Jade Mountain Attached", then Kunlun Mountain may be in the west of "Jade Mountain Attached", which is consistent with the whole geographical position in Haijing, that is, "Kunlun Mountain" is in the northwest and "Jade Mountain Attached" is in the northeast, so "Kunlun Mountain" must be in the west of "Jade Mountain Attached", but it is far apart. Kunlun Virtual is in the northwest of West Lake Bai Yushan Cangwu, perhaps in the north of Daxia, and perhaps Kunlun Mountain is also in the northwest of Bai Yushan.
"South of the West Sea, on the shore of quicksand, behind Chishui and before Blackwater, there is a mountain called Kunlun Mountain." (Wild West Classic), which is very similar to the description in the Middle East Classic: there are "quicksand", "Chishui" and "black water" around Kunlun Mountain (hill). But Fuyu Mountain is clearly in the middle of the river, and the river comes from the northeast corner of Kunlun Mountain. Maybe Fuyu Mountain is in the northeast of Kunlun Mountain, or it may be in the northeast, which may be the location of Bai Yushan of West Lake.
There are two places that show that the "Queen Mother of the West" is to the west of the "Kunlun Mountain". First, according to the arrangement of Xishan Jing, "Yushan is in the west of Kunlun Mountain" (quicksand is also in the west of Kunlun Mountain), which is more than a thousand miles apart (according to the data provided by the Mountain Jing). There are water, quicksand, Leyou Mountain and Muying Mountain, so there are irreconcilable contradictions.
Then let the Kunlun Mountain correspond to the five mountains, and the Kunlun Mountain corresponds to the Kunlun Mountain, that is, the northeast position of the Kunlun Mountain and the northwest position of the Kunlun Mountain are separated by thousands of miles, and the attached mountain and the Kunlun Mountain are also separated by thousands of miles, just like the west third.
This speculation is really terrible. Because of the confusion in the description of names and places, Kunlun Mountain and Kunlun Mountain have become strangers separated by thousands of miles, just like the "Pingyuan" in Huaijiangshan, which took hundreds of miles to get to Kunlun Mountain. This seems to coincide with the "800-mile square of Kunlun market", and the first floor and the second floor can be separated by a hundred miles (Huaijiangshan may also be the name of "Xuanpu" of Kunlun Mountain). Then, from the literal meaning of "the mountain is attached to the space", it is indeed in the space (corner) in the northeast, because its other name is "the mountain of Wuyu", and its location is clearly defined in the Sea Classic. The explanation of "Bai Yushan" is only similar in pronunciation, but has no real reference in orientation. Then "Wuyu Mountain" is a subsidiary mountain range or branch of "Kunlun Mountain". Does it matter if this is our position? Which firmness is more reasonable? Or is there another possibility? We went around a big bend trying to explain that there are many similar descriptions between "Kunlun Mountain" and "Wuyushan Mountain", which may indicate that these two seats are in the same place, and at least two parts are crowded together. These explanations explain why there is a hill (Qiu Nan) of "Emperor Bamboo Forest" in Wujiao Mountain, and the south of "Bamboo Forest" is full of red water or Chishui. This is the same as the concept of "Kunlun Mountain" or "Kunlun Fair", that is, there is a "forest" and a "water" on their south side.
The growth of three trees along the Chishui River (north of Chishui) is not a coincidence, but a unified explanation of geographical correspondence.
