Why do swans drown?
Feathers get wet and lose their ability to float. Swan is a bird, not an aquatic animal. When it floats on the lake, its feathers get wet, its weight increases, and it loses its own floating ability, so that the swan can't get up when it dives into the water, leading to drowning. Swan refers to the bird Cygnus, which is distributed in all continents except Africa and Antarctica.
