One of the cracks in screen-printed acrylic board may be caused by the board, and the other may be caused by the ink used in screen printing. If the crack is caused by the poor quality of the plate, you can find a piece of leftover material that has been silk-printed before. If there is no crack, silk-screen it with the same ink system. If there are no cracks, the quality of the plate is poor, and there may be too much water. You can try baking acrylic board at 60 degrees for 30 minutes and then screen printing, which may solve it. If the cracks still appear, it may be the ink. Because acrylic is corroded by solvent, it will cause cracking. Therefore, if the ink used is not suitable for acrylic, such as ink containing toluene and other solvents, it may cause cracks in screen printing of acrylic plates. When cracks appear, we can screen print with ink (which can be different colors) that has never had screen printing problems before, so as to quickly judge whether it is an ink problem, reduce time and avoid material waste.
In addition, when there is static electricity, the board is easy to attach dust. Before screen printing or painting, it should be wiped clean with suede or a soft cloth dipped with 1% soapy water to achieve the cleaning effect.
