After Gu Zhuxuan became the owner of the "Tianchan" stage, he used all kinds of threats and inducements to attract many famous actors in Shanghai and coerced them to sign a contract to perform on the "Tianchan" stage at a low price. Among many famous actors, Zhou Unicorn is the most famous. In the next fifteen years, Chang Chunheng, Zhou and Zhou have been the pillars, and long-term performances such as "Civet cats for princes" and "The list of gods" have been done well.
The predecessor of "Xintianchan" is Daxin Stage. Daxin stage was built in 1925 and designed by British architects Ding and Tolan. The building is a four-story reinforced concrete structure with an arched roof covering the entire audience hall. The audience was divided into four floors, with 39 17 seats, which was the largest modern theater in Shanghai at that time.

After liberation, the Tianchan stage was taken over by the Military Management Committee. From 65438 to 0954, Tianchan Stage was under the jurisdiction of Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Culture. In August of the same year, the troupe was separated from Tianchan and established Tianchan Experimental Peking Opera Troupe, which was the predecessor of Xinmin Peking Opera Troupe.

On April 28th, 1994, the stage was completed and opened. At the opening ceremony, famous Beijing-Kunming actors from Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai and Hong Kong, such as Mei Baojiu, Tan Yuanshou, Ma Changli, Li Shiji, Ye Shaolan and Liu Changyu, gathered in Shanghai to give their wonderful performances.
The reconstructed "Tianyi Zen House Stage" is a modern opera performance venue with 928 seats, which mainly focuses on Peking Opera performances. The lighting, acoustics, suspenders and other equipment of the theater are all controlled and operated by computers, and there are electronic display screens with Chinese and English subtitles. Since its establishment ten years ago, Shaw's stage has been dominated by Peking Opera, supplemented by other operas, with an average of more than 400 performances per year, and has always maintained the first place in Shanghai's performance industry.
In 2004, the Propaganda Department of Shanghai Municipal Committee and Shanghai Wenguang Group jointly invested in a comprehensive transformation of the Shaw Stage on the original basis, which was the first major transformation since the transformation of 1994, and made the Shaw Stage look brand-new.
In 2007, in order to cooperate with the Huangpu District Government's comprehensive transformation along Fuzhou Road, the main entrance of Shao's stage was rebuilt again. Nowadays, the digital scrolling screen is installed at the main entrance of Shaw Stage to provide performance information in time, which is convenient for the audience and achieves faster publicity effect.
From Beijing Corner to Tianchan's fame, Tianchan has experienced nearly a hundred years of vicissitudes.
