Wuzhou TV Station is a newly-built unit, with a young and inexperienced news team, but it is constantly exploring and reforming in practice. According to statistics, 1987 broadcasts 772 news articles, accounting for 15 hours; 1990 2604 articles, accounting for 48 hours and 50 minutes, more than three times that of 1987. Wuzhou News and news topic programs closely follow the situation, and actively promote Wuzhou's reform and opening up and urban and rural economic system reform with a large number of weighty and timely news facts. Tian Jiyun and Chen, leaders of the Party and state, visited Wuzhou and broadcast the news in time. Wuzhou has become a sister city with Newport, England and Zunyi, China, and has carried out economic and technical cooperation with many surrounding cities and counties in Xijiang Corridor, successfully building Xijiang Bridge, the longest highway bridge in Guangxi, connecting Guangdong and Guangxi. Television has become an important part of people's lives. 1988, the development of TV industry was designated as one of the ten major events of Wuzhou's reform and opening up. Wuzhou TV Station was invested by the municipal government 1985 to build a 14-story TV building with an area of 4000m2, which was put into use in the afternoon of 1988. There are 200㎡, 100㎡ and 48㎡ 1 studios, 2 studios and 3 editing workshops in 24㎡, 14 cameras and VO, BVU and EVW integrated video equipment, forming five editing lines (vo3, mixed L and Bvul).

Wuzhou TV transmitting station transmits three sets of TV programs every day, of which Channel 7 receives CCTV programs through satellite ground receiving stations, Channel 2 relays Guangxi TV programs through meter waves, and Channel N is a self-run comprehensive program. The program tapes compiled by various departments are arranged by the editing room, broadcast by the broadcasting department of the technical department, transmitted to the transmitter of the launch pad through small microwaves, and emitted by the antenna.
