Dark ages

1966 His first marriage ended soon. This is a devastating blow to his music career.
He continued his major at school, worked as an engine assembler at the Austrian Federal Railway Bureau, and was finally promoted to the company's chief accountant. Although these years have been very good, Franz knows very well that this is not the life he wants. This is the darkest moment of his life. During this period, he met her second wife, brigitta. This lady not only became Franz's lifelong companion, but also encouraged him to continue playing the harmonica and start his music career again.
New journey
1987, Franz returned to music. Encouraged by his wife and two brothers, he came back.
1988, Piccolo won the first place in their first expedition, and Franz won the second place in a solo.
1989, Flantz met James moody, a famous British composer. This composer is not only an excellent musician, but also the head of the British National Broadcasting Orchestra. He wrote many works for the harmonica, including Spanish fantasia. He has been playing piano accompaniment for tommy reilly, an international harmonica master, for many years.
In the exchange, James once said, "You seem to be playing from another planet."
Franz began to develop his own unique and gorgeous timbre, a timbre that has never been seen before.
He began to develop a vibrating sound produced by his tongue instead of using his hands like other famous harmonica players.
He played a lot of music that harmonica experts once thought could not be played on the harmonica, which earned him the title of "Revolutionary Harmonica Master".
During this period, he not only finished the work of the railway bureau every day, but also insisted on practicing the harmonica for four hours every day after returning home.
1989 published his first CD "Song of the Wanderer", which included
The second CD, Dream Baroque, was published in 1994.
65438-0996 resigned from the railway bureau and began to devote himself to music. He increased his practice time to six hours a day and played six harmonica reeds a week. He must have five harps at the same time to meet his practice needs.
The rest of the time, he repaired his harmonica, arranged his music works and communicated with other players and musicians.
Other musicians began to compose music for him:
Walter Bretner ... Sicily.

In February 2003, he was invited to perform with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. On the 27th of the same month, he won the Bulanta Prize.
target
Franz Mayer's goal is to attract the world's attention to the classical harmonica. I hope to improve the acceptance of harmonica in the traditional music circle, and I hope my experience can help the next generation of musicians.
