Xiang's brief introduction
Xiang surname is a surname originated in China, with a single origin, which came from Xiang State in Zhou Dynasty. Xiangcheng was a Xiangzi country in the early Zhou Dynasty. In the summer of the seventeenth year of Lu Xigong, the state of Lu destroyed Xiangzi, and the name of Xiangzi was cancelled, leaving only a place name. Children and grandchildren take Xiang as their surname. During the Eastern Zhou Dynasty and the Warring States Period, the state of Chu destroyed Lu, and the land was changed to Chu. When Chu Xiang became king, he moved the capital of Chu from Ying to Chen, taking Xiang as his capital.
