to see somebody for the first time
It's another orange dusk. Sunlight inadvertently sprinkled golden breath, and the soft light gradually eased the dry cry of cicada. The slight cool breeze brought a hint of autumn to the end of this summer vacation, blowing up the first fallen leaves in this autumn. Fallen leaves are floating on me, as if it were early autumn.
"dad! I'm leaving! " I put my rusty bike by the door and shouted at my father in the room.
"ah! Go to bed early when you get home! I'm going to school tomorrow. " Dad poked his head out of the kitchen fence and told him intimately.
I looked at my father's rice fields. It is green, and the frogs in the water are cooing. There are scattered voices in the distant fields, each making good use of the last corner of the sunset to work.
"This summer vacation is coming to an end." A cold wind blew, and I couldn't help sighing.
My name is Lan Orange, and I'm sixteen years old. Starting tomorrow, I will be a sophomore in Haojiang Middle School. It's just dad and me at home. I never asked my father about my mother, except that my mother ran away from home after I was born. Since then, my father has returned to Sanjiao Village to make a living by farming, while I have been studying in Macau and living with my grandfather. I didn't start living alone until my grandfather left me the year before last.
I spent almost the whole summer vacation with my father in Sanjiao Village. I like this sparsely populated small village with only low houses. Look up is a clear sky, Wan Li cloudless. At the bottom is a paddy field with green grass. Sanjiao Village is such a small and great place.
Walking through the tall pine trees on both sides, I came to the entrance of Sanjiao Village at the junction of China and Zhuhai. I listened to the walkman and played the theme song of my favorite cartoon "Slam Dunk Master" when I was a child.
