1. Pay attention to the consistency of direction when embroidering.
When you embroider a cross, you must pay attention to the same embroidery direction. If embroidery starts from top to bottom and from left to right, then the whole work must follow the same direction, otherwise it will destroy the whole work. Because personal habits are different, and the direction of embroidery will be different, but we still have to follow its consistency.
2. Find the position of the center point when embroidering.
Be sure to find the center of the cloth before you start embroidering the picture, otherwise it may cause the dilemma that the picture cannot be mounted smoothly after embroidering.
3. Several stitches in cross stitch.
Full needle embroidery, 1/2 needle embroidery, 1/4 needle embroidery, 3/4 needle embroidery, back needle embroidery, long needle embroidery, double needle back needle embroidery, double needle long needle embroidery, several special needle embroidery methods.
4. Needles for cross stitch.
The needle used for cross-stitch is different from the needle used for sewing, but the needle used for cross-stitch is a blunt needle with a round needle and a large pinhole. For different sizes of cross-stitch grid cloth, the sizes of needles used are also different.
5. The foundation of cross stitch-cross stitch cloth.
According to different patterns, you can choose different specifications of cross cloth, including large grid cloth, medium grid cloth and small grid cloth. After selecting the cloth, choose the thread and needle according to the specifications of the cloth.
With the above knowledge, you can choose your favorite cross-stitch pattern and start embroidering works. Of course, embroidery still needs a little skill!

How to look at the picture:
Each pattern is shown in the form of a grid diagram. Each square represents a complete cross stitch. Half a square represents a quarter cross stitch. Black or colored dots represent French knots. A black or colored ellipse represents a flat petal needle. The straight line represents the hook edge. Each piece of paper is attached with a color card, indicating the embroidery thread color required in the drawing. The meter heads are respectively marked with full cross needles (X); Color number of DMC line or ANC line (DMC or ANC); Quarter stitch (1/4x); Half cross needle (1/2x); B'ST and color names.
Schematic diagram of acupuncture:
Cross stitch: (X). The crosshairs should correspond to each square in the picture. (Figure 1) Cross stitch can be embroidered before and after (Figure 2). Vertical cross stitch can be embroidered as shown in Figure 3.
Half cross stitch (1/2X):
This stitch is only the first half of cross stitch. Embroidery is generally carried out from the bottom left to the top right. In case of special circumstances, please follow the diagram (Figure 4).
Quarter stitch (1/4X):
In the figure and color table, a quarter needle is represented by a colored triangle or a half-full needle symbol. Embroider upward at the position of "1" (Figure 5), and then embroider downward at the position of "2" in the middle of the fabric yarn. (As shown in the figure, the direction of the quarter needle is different. )
Three-quarters stitches (3/4X):
Three-quarters stitches consist of half stitches and quarter stitches (Figure 6).
Hook edge: (B'ST):
The edge marking of outline parts (indicated by black or colored lines in drawings and color tables) can only be carried out after all cross-stitch parts are completed. (Figure 7)
French knot:
Thread the needle from the position of "1", pull the wire with the left hand, wrap the needle with the right hand from the outside to the inside, and then thread it back from the position of "1". (Figure 8)
Flat petal needle:
Extend the needle from the position of "1" to form a ring, then put it back from the position of "1", then extend the needle from the position of "2" and put it back from the position of "2".
1. Embroidery thread consists of six strands, usually two strands are used for embroidery and one for wrapping. Please refer to the drawings for special requirements.
2. The color block in the picture does not represent the actual embroidery thread color. Please carefully identify the thread number behind the thread label and choose embroidery according to the requirements of the thread number.
3. The embroidery direction should be consistent, and the center point should be determined when starting the needle. When embroidering, the tension should be moderate and the force should be even. Don't tie the knot when lifting the needle or at the end Leave a thread of about one centimeter on the back of the fabric to firmly press the other side, and be careful not to entangle the thread.
4. In order to outline the outline and make the work more vivid, the last step is to hook the edge when the embroidery is completed. Generally 1 strand is used for 2-strand embroidery and 2-strand embroidery.
