Pyrography is an ancient art form with a deep historical origin in China. It is a rare and precious folk painting in China, and it can be called "a must in China". Pyrography art is the key protection object of national intangible cultural heritage, and there are fewer and fewer folk artists engaged in pyrography art in China. However, in Qiu County, Hebei Province, there is a story of a famous pyrography artist whose hero is Wang Chenglin.

Wang Chenglin was born in February 1958. His ancestral tradition is to practice medicine, so he is also a rural doctor by profession. He loved folk arts and crafts since he was a child, and he is undoubtedly an amateur "painting fan". He has been tirelessly pursuing the art of painting for many years and has never stopped for decades. Life in Bu Jue Meng is hard, and the weather is cold in winter. He always dreamed of becoming a painter when he was young, so he tried various painting forms, such as Chinese painting, oil painting and gouache. He is a master of painting in the village, and his specialties are door curtains, mirror plaques, printed bags and carbon images. Worked as a carpenter, painter and vendor, and was a typical folk painter. In recent years, he spent all his spare time on the folk pyrography art and made remarkable achievements.

Pyrography, also known as pyrography, uses the heat of soldering iron, clever expression and skilled painting skills to draw brown patterns with different shades. It has simple and beautiful artistic features and is deeply loved by the masses. Wide range of uses, environmental protection, rich pictures, never fade. Its expressive force has a certain relief effect, simple and elegant, fresh and beautiful, unique, highly decorative and collectible. The more folk, the more cosmopolitan. In recent years, pyrography, with its unique artistic charm, has repeatedly shown its elegance in international and domestic art fairs and various art exhibitions, attracting domestic and foreign merchants.

After years of unremitting efforts, he has created more than 300 exquisite pyrography works, including figures, animals, landscapes, folk auspicious patterns and so on. Series of works are his strong points, mainly including tiger series, cat series, eagle series, cow series, birthday star series, portrait series and so on. Dozens of works, such as Tang Bohu's Four Beautiful Pictures and Lang Shining's Hundred Horses and Twelve Women in Jinling, have been collected by collectors inside and outside the province, and foreign customers have been coming here continuously. His pyrography Fuwa for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games was 8.8 meters long and was collected by Beijingers. Lang Shining's Hundred Horses is collected by Shandong painters. With the pursuit of pyrography art and keen awareness of the folk art market, after two years and four months of fighting day and night, he finally completed this masterpiece "The Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival", which is a genre painting by Zhang Zeduan, a painter in the Northern Song Dynasty. In the form of a long scroll, the work adopts the composition method of scattered perspective to bring complicated scenery into a unified and changeable picture. There are 865,438+05 characters in the painting, with different clothes and different expressions. He blended into the complex scenery such as trees, pavilions, etc., and vividly recorded the urban life of China in the12nd century with his own soldering iron, which was 12m long and 0.75m wide.

Now he has become a member of China Pyrography Association, Hebei Folk Writers Association and Handan Folk Writers Association, and applied to be a member of China Pyrography Research Association. I wish him continuous innovation and more brilliant achievements on the ancient folk art road of pyrography.
