(1) Eight ethnic townships: Zhaizi, Changbaozi, Dongshan, Egongling, Lean Fort, Guanxia, Matang and Hekou Miao and Dong townships.

Suining County is located in the western border of Shaoyang City, with the north latitude of 2616 ′ ~ 27 8 ′ and the east longitude of109 49 ′ ~10 32 ′. It looks like a parallelogram, and its northern end inclines eastward. The north-south straight line is 103.5km long, and the east-west straight line is 56km wide, with a total area of 2927km2, accounting for 14. 1% of the city's total area, making it the widest county in the city.
The eastern part of Suining County is adjacent to Dongkou County, Wugang City and Chengbu Miao Autonomous County from north to south. It borders Qianyang County, Huitong County, Jingzhou Miao and Dong Autonomous County and Tongdao Dong Autonomous County in Huaihua from north to south.
