After the founding of New China, the archaeological cause in Xuzhou really started. 1952, Xuzhou Cultural Relics Management Committee was established; 1956, Xuzhou Han dynasty stone relief collection and preservation group was established; Later, the exhibition room of stone reliefs in Xuzhou Museum was established. 1On June 8, 1986, the Xuzhou Municipal People's Government began to build the Han Dynasty Portrait Museum.1On June 8, 1987, the Xuzhou Han Dynasty Stone Relief Museum was formally established. Engraving inscriptions, exhibiting inscriptions on Han steles and stone statues with inscriptions.
