Both men and women who want to get married must go to the marriage registration office to register their marriage in person. Those who meet the statutory conditions shall be registered and issued a marriage certificate. Getting a marriage certificate is tantamount to establishing a relationship between husband and wife. Those who have not registered for marriage shall re-register. After registered marriage, according to the agreement between men and women, the woman can become a member of the man's family, and the man can become a member of the woman's family.

The marriage registration office shall have an independent marriage registration place, and be equipped with a waiting hall, a marriage registration area, a divorce registration room and a file room. The marriage registration area and divorce registration room can be merged into a corresponding number of marriage registration rooms.
The marriage registration place should be spacious, solemn and tidy, with a marriage registration bulletin board.
The marriage registration office shall not be located in institutions such as wedding photography, wedding service and medical treatment, and the above-mentioned service institutions shall not be located in marriage registration places.
