Chaohu College is a full-time undergraduate college in Anhui Province. Chaohu College, formerly known as Chaohu Teachers College, was founded at the end of 1977. In April 2002, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, it was upgraded and renamed as "Chaohu College", which belongs to the Education Department of Anhui Province. Since its establishment, the school has adhered to the tenet of running a school based on Chaohu Lake, facing the whole province, radiating the whole country and looking at the world, and has made great efforts to cultivate qualified applied talents for social development and economic construction, so that the school has gradually developed into a multi-level and multi-disciplinary full-time undergraduate college.
The college now has 12 departments, including economics and law, foreign languages, physical education, computer science and technology, history, tourism and culture, Chinese language, mathematics, management, physics and electronic science, chemistry and materials science, education and art.
