Moxi town
Luding Bridge is a national key cultural relic protection unit. It was built in the forty-fourth year of Qing Emperor Kangxi (1705) and completed in April of the following year. It has been more than 300 years, and the word "Luding Bridge" was personally inscribed by Kangxi. The bridgehead on both sides of the river is an ancient wooden structure (now rebuilt). The bridge has 13 iron chains anchored on both sides of the Dadu River, with a length of10/m and a width of 3 m ... Luding Bridge has always been the main traffic artery in Sichuan and Tibet. 1On May 29th, 935, the Chinese Red Army of Workers and Peasants won a great victory over the Luding Bridge on the way to the Long March, and the Luding Bridge became famous all over the world. When we walk on this iron cable bridge, what comes to mind is the feat of the eighteen warriors crossing the Dadu River, and the memory of the heroic spirit arises spontaneously.

There is a Catholic church deep in the alley of Moxi Chinese architecture, and its existence adds a different charm to the town. It's hard to imagine that China people seldom set foot on this exotic land dotted with such western colors. This church has a long history. In the 7th year of the Republic of China, that is, in 19 18, the Catholic diocese of Kangding began to build Moxi Catholic Church, and in 1 1 year, the residence and chapel were completed, and in 15 year, the bell tower was completed. This church was first founded by a romantic French missionary, but in architectural style, it is integrated with the traditional temple style in southwest China. On its northeast side, you can clearly see the round windows that can only be seen in the old-fashioned nave, while its north-south windows show the European style. From the front, it can be regarded as a real European building, but from the side, you can see the familiar cornices. This is the Catholic church in Moxi, which introduces western ideas while retaining local characteristics; Or it should be said that the Catholic church in Moxi, like its ideological return, is bound to be combined with local folk customs. In architecture, it first realized localization and narrowed the distance with the local people. And this also gives people an indescribable strangeness on the whole. This kind of feeling, no matter from the direct sense of architecture, will only be produced after in-depth exploration of the ancient town. The local mass was first held with inter-religious music playing, and long sacred music was introduced to the ears. It uses the traditional musical instrument of China-suona. Compared with the rich and mysterious organ in the church visited in the past, it is unique and novel with its Chinese voice.

It is worth mentioning that during the Long March, the Red Army traveled long distances with a Swiss missionary named bossard to translate the captured French map. During the long journey, bossard learned the purpose of the Red Army's Long March, and that the Red Army team was fighting for a great ideal and a society more in line with the reality of China. Finally, Swiss missionaries turned to understand and support the revolutionary cause of the Red Army. More than a year later, Bossat returned to Europe with the money of the Red Army and finally settled in Britain.
This experience appeared in Bossart's autobiography "Closed Hands". In this book, Bossart talked a lot about the similarities between the productism of the Red Army and missionaries at that time.

At the end of the ancient town, there is a Tibetan temple. It is called "Jinhua Temple". This is a strange and distinctive temple. On the roof at the top left of the temple, there is a picture of Artest Pool. Should serve Taoism. On the roof at the top right of the temple, there is a ten thousand calligraphy and painting, which should be Buddhist. In the middle of the temple is Dalatu, which is undoubtedly Tibetan. Generally speaking, this is a temple with three religions in one. The temple is full of incense and devout tourists are indispensable. I dare not make a fuss. I have always believed that there is a road in the world and a fairy road in the fairy. How can I allow such an ignorant person to disturb the order of heaven! However, in this ancient town at night, the night is as cold as water. The air is fresh as if it had been filtered, leaving only a sweet and cool smell. Is this the smell of fairyland?

Moxi Town is not only a place where people visit Hailuogou Glacier Forest Park today, but also a place where salt gangs and caravans between Sichuan and Tibet stop to rest. Although it is small, it is the only way to the ancient tea-horse road. The steep terrain of the ancient tea-horse road made it difficult for mules and horses to pass, and only people's feet could climb in it. Therefore, a unique social phenomenon of the ancient tea-horse road was created since ancient times, that is, human transportation of tea.
