During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it belonged to Shoubao and Shouanli. 1927, Bai Yang was classified as an equal county, 1932, which was abandoned. Yichuan County was founded in 1934, and Populus belongs to Yichuan. During the occupation of Yiyang, it belonged to the stone area of the anti-Japanese democratic government in Yichuan County. At the beginning of liberation, Poplar was once the resident of yinan county People's Government. After the merger of Yinan and Yi Bei, it belonged to Zhaobao District. 1956 was divided into two central townships, Yang and Shi, and changed to Olympic, Yang, Shi and Nanliusi townships in winter, belonging to Zhaobao District.
