A British royal etiquette expert told foreign media at a news conference in London on Tuesday that Prince Harry and Megan markel decided not to invite domestic and foreign leaders to the wedding, probably to avoid US President Donald Trump.
William Hansen is regarded as the latest school of British etiquette and the most trustworthy authority. He said that Megan markel was critical of Trump before she got engaged, so not inviting politicians to the wedding was a diplomatic way to avoid inviting Trump.
Harry and Megan have chosen to invite 600 guests who are directly related to them to attend the wedding in St. George's Cathedral at Windsor Castle on May 19. Only those who are directly related to the couple are invited to their wedding. Some people speculate that Obama may be invited because he has a close personal relationship with Harry.
Although the wedding of Harry and Megan is a great event in Britain, Harry is not the first heir to the British royal family. In fact, he is only the fifth in line to the British royal family. Before him, there were his father Prince Charles, his brother Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and William's two children. Prince William and Princess Kate are expecting their third child. After that, Harry will rank sixth.
Hansen said that for men, morning coat's main dress rules include: black or dark gray tuxedo with tie, and vest is usually double-breasted. For women, it is most appropriate to wear formal clothes, jackets, hats and gloves instead of headdresses.
Harry and Megan have announced that they will invite more than 2,000 people to the wedding scene in front of Windsor Castle to witness the royal wedding.
