Vigorously implement the "new village" project, ensure agricultural efficiency and increase farmers' income with new production methods, promote people's all-round development with new lifestyles, improve rural living environment with new village appearance, and promote grassroots democratic political construction with new management methods. At present, the city has completed the transformation of 156 villages, and built 32 "demonstration villages for building a well-off society in an all-round way", including 14 at the provincial level. In the third national appraisal of the basic competitiveness of county economy, the ranking of our city rose to 1 1. Forty-four agricultural products have obtained the national pollution-free agricultural product certification, among which Wenling Shulian Fruit Cane Cooperative produced Wenlian brand fruit cane, Wenling Ruoheng Town Agricultural Trade Service Co., Ltd. produced Yulin brand watermelon, Wenling High-tech Agricultural Demonstration Base Management Committee produced Fengshen brand Chinese cabbage, Wenling Livestock and Poultry Comprehensive Development Service Company produced Luffa and "Lvcui" brand duck eggs, etc. 18 products passed the China green agricultural product certification. Twenty-two kinds of agricultural products registered 33 trademarks, 17 high-quality agricultural products won the gold and silver award at the agricultural fair at or above the provincial level, Lvmu brand Wenling grass chicken passed the national green food certification, and Daxi brand Miyagawa tangerine and Ming Sheng brand Wenling high orange were rated as famous fruits in China. Wenling is also one of the earliest counties (cities) in China to establish farmers' professional cooperatives. At present, 6/kloc-0 farmers' professional cooperatives have been established, which has effectively promoted the production of more than 30,000 farmers in Wenling and promoted the development of various agricultural industries.

Wenling has a pleasant climate, beautiful mountains and rivers and rich tourism resources. There are 3 provincial-level scenic spots, 2 provincial-level scenic spots and 1 provincial forest parks, among which Changyu Cave Day was rated as the best in the world by Guinness World Headquarters in Shanghai, and Shitang Fishing Port was known as "Notre Dame de Paris".

Entering the new century, Wenling is making "three leaps" to a strong economic city, a big cultural city and a medium-sized city with remarkable momentum.

Wenling is an agricultural county in history. 1958, the State Council awarded Wenling the title of "National Advanced County of Agricultural Socialism Construction". Since the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Wenling's economy and society have developed rapidly, people's living standards have improved significantly, and its comprehensive strength has been continuously enhanced. It has been rated as one of the top 100 counties (cities) with comprehensive rural strength in China, a national star county (city), an advanced county (city) with increased farmers' income in China, and the first batch of well-off counties and cities in Zhejiang Province.
