For thousands of years, architecture is the witness of the times, and the ancient village in Chenzhou 'ao is no exception. This village has a history of 800 years. Walking in the village and stepping on the bluestone road seems to go back in time, feeling back to more than 800 years ago. Blue bricks and tiles, winding paths leading to a secluded place, one scene and one thing, all like a roll of elegant ink painting, quiet but moving.
Aoshanggu village is a typical ancient village in southern Hunan, with large scale, complete preservation, unique geomantic omen and rich cultural heritage. Aoshang Village Ancient Architecture Complex is a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit in Hunan Province, covering an area of about 8 hectares and a construction area of about 1 000 square meters.
There are about 20 ancient buildings in Aoshanggu Village, which are well-shaped and connected by stone slabs. There are several culverts around the front, back and sides of each row of houses. The culvert is made of bluestone and covered with large pieces of bluestone. Looking from a distance, it is a rare and uniform scenery with time.
The path in the village is paved with bluestone slabs and surrounded by streams. When you walk on the path, you can hear the sound of the stream. There are two stone piers in front of many houses in the village, which are finely carved. The horns are carved, some with dragons and some with unicorns. The top of the gate is carved with dragons and painted with phoenixes, which is particularly spectacular.
