Article 3 The handling of illegal acts shall follow the principles of legality, justice, civilization, openness and timeliness, respect and protect human rights and protect citizens' personal dignity.

The handling of illegal acts should adhere to the principle of combining education with punishment, and educate citizens, legal persons and other organizations to consciously abide by road traffic safety laws and regulations.

Article 7 When investigating and dealing with illegal acts, traffic police shall show their law enforcement certificates.

Article 9 When investigating and handling illegal acts, the traffic police shall check the motor vehicle driver's license, driving license, motor vehicle number plate, inspection mark, insurance mark and other number plates, as well as the illegal information of motor vehicles and drivers. Other relevant documents and materials shall also be examined when investigating the illegal acts of vehicle drivers carrying explosives, inflammable and explosive chemicals, highly toxic and radioactive dangerous goods.

Article 10 When examining a motor vehicle driver's license, the traffic police shall ask the driver's name, address and date of birth, and check with the contents recorded in the driver's license; Check the appearance of the holder with the photo on the driver's license. When necessary, drivers may be required to show their resident identity cards for verification.

Article 12 The traffic police shall stick a notice of illegal parking on the side door glass of a motor vehicle or motorcycle seat when the driver of the motor vehicle is not at the scene, and fix the relevant evidence by taking photos or videos.
