Ningxiang City is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Hunan Province, managed by Changsha City, which is located at the south edge of Dongting Lake in the northeast of Hunan Province and in the west of Changsha City. Ningxiang is connected to Wangcheng District in the east, yuhu district, Xiangtan County, Shaoshan City and Xiangxiang City in the south, Lianyuan City in Loudi City and Anhua County in Yiyang City in the west, and Heshan District and Taojiang County in Yiyang City in the north.
