Brief introduction of Zhen' an flower drum
Zhen 'an Flower Drum is a folk song and dance of Han nationality. In the county seat, it is mainly popular in the western "Xiahe people" residential area. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, due to floods and droughts in Xiangyang and Yunyang in northwest Hubei, many folk artists went upstream along the Han River and settled in Zhen 'an. As a result, Qin Zi Opera (now Drum Opera) and Eight-legged Opera in Hubei Province spread widely, and then merged with local light songs to form the Eight-legged Opera, namely "Erzhazi" Opera. Since its initial formation, it has a history of more than 200 years, and the performances of Zhen 'an "Erzhazi" class club are mostly local Han folk dramas. Such as Bacha's Lan Dan Shui, Cai Mingfeng's Ci Dian and Wu Youchun in minor. After the founding of New China, the ancient painting drama gained a new life. Zhen 'an Troupe has successively created and rehearsed large-scale flower drum repertoires such as Changing Pig, Liu Hai Beating Golden Toad, Shepherd Girl and Nie Tao, and won many provincial and municipal awards. Zhen 'an Flower Drum has been included in the list of intangible cultural heritage protection in Shaanxi Province.
