Liu Ying was born in Yuci, Shanxi Province. He studied music with his father since childhood and xylophone with Liu Xuelin, a teacher of Shaanxi Song and Dance Troupe. 1984 was admitted to the middle school attached to the central conservatory of music to study percussion, 1965438 was sent to the orchestra department of the central conservatory of music for further study with excellent results. Liu Ying has always been an active percussion player on the stage in China. His repertoire includes Daqu by American composer Zhou Long, Malimba Solo by Mo Fan (recorded in the first year of Gong), a narrative poem for percussion and soprano, and Harmony of Taigu Concerto by Japanese composer Isao Matsushita. Her performances have been well received by all walks of life and experts, and her recorded solos have been played on CCTV, china national radio and local radio stations for many times.
