Five steps of ironing clothes

First, master the temperature of the iron.

If you use an ordinary electric iron without temperature adjustment, you can drop water drops on the soleplate of the heating iron, and judge the approximate temperature of the iron by hearing the change and sound of the water drops, so as to determine what kind of textiles and clothes are suitable for ironing.

1 When the temperature is in the range of 70 ~ 100℃, there is no sound of boiling water, and the shape of water droplets slowly spreads, then bubbles slowly, and the boiling water makes a sound and evaporates. At this time, the temperature is not suitable for ironing clothes.

When the temperature is 120 ~ 140℃, it will make a "scowl" sound, and the water droplets will immediately spread, resulting in large bubbles and rapid evaporation. At this time, the temperature is suitable for directly ironing nylon silk clothing, down jacket, nylon blended clothing, acrylic interwoven blended clothing and polypropylene fiber clothing.

3 When the temperature is between 150℃ and 160℃, the water droplets first chirp, then the water droplets change from large to small and roll on the floor. At this time, the temperature is suitable for directly ironing polyester clothes and wool-polyester blended clothes, or directly ironing wool clothes, or ironing nylon, acrylic and polypropylene clothes with water cushion cloth.

4 When the temperature is 170 ~ 190℃, water drops will jump on the iron and fall to the ground. The temperature at this time is suitable for ironing silk clothes and cotton fabrics, artificial cotton fabrics and rayon fabrics. You can also use dry cloth and water cloth to iron woolen clothes, polyester and blended clothes.

When the temperature is between 200℃ and 250℃, a short and crisp "pop" sound is emitted, and water droplets splash immediately. This temperature is suitable for ironing all kinds of woolen clothes and woolen clothes with wet tarpaulin, but don't stay in the dry part of the tarpaulin to avoid "strong light" under the tarpaulin or yellowing the wool.

The temperature mentioned above is not absolute, and there may be a difference of several degrees. About 5℃ will not have much influence on the surface of clothes.

Second, the use of iron.

1 When using the non-temperature regulating electric iron, you can turn on the power supply at a lower temperature for ironing. However, when ironing, the left and right hands should cooperate skillfully, and the time should not be too long, so as to avoid the iron temperature rising rapidly. If you need to iron for a long time, turn off the power supply after the temperature is suitable.

When you connect the power supply to iron, you should always pay attention to the ironing effect and fabric changes, especially the color and smell of natural fiber fabrics and things. If there is any slight change, cut off the power immediately. When the temperature is not enough during ironing, turn on the power supply.

When ironing with wet cloth, the temperature of the iron drops rapidly because of the need to turn water into steam, and even if the power supply is not turned off, there will be insufficient heat. At this time, it is necessary to slow down the ironing speed, master the operation of the iron, weigh first and then light, so that the water evaporates and spreads evenly and the temperature distribution is even.

When using the temperature-regulating electric iron, it is necessary to master the ironing temperature of various fiber grades recognized by the iron, because this is based on the most basic insurance coefficient of fiber, and it is impossible to iron clothes at this temperature. Therefore, in ironing, it is best to raise the ironing temperature of fiber to a higher level and adjust it to a higher level if necessary.

Third, master the ironing temperature of fabrics

Wool fabric (tweed): ironing temperature is about120℃;

Wool fabric (tweed): ironing temperature is about 200℃;

Cotton fabric: ironing temperature is160 ~180℃;

Silk fabric: ironing temperature is about120℃;

Hemp fabric: the ironing temperature is below 100℃, and it is generally not ironed;

Polyester fabric: ironing temperature is about130℃;

Nylon fabric: ironing temperature is about100℃;

Polyester cotton or polyester-viscose blended fabric: ironing temperature is about150℃;

Polyester-wool blended fabric: ironing temperature is about150℃;

Polyester-nitrile blended fabric: ironing temperature is140℃;

Chemical fiber imitation silk; The ironing temperature is about 65438 030℃;

Uygur cotton blended fabric: ironing temperature is about 100℃ (suitable for dry ironing).

Fourth, ironing sequence.

Ironing principle: (1) iron the reverse side first, then the front side; (2) scald the part first, and then scald the whole.

The ironing sequence of coat is: sewing-welting-placket-pocket-back-front rotator cuff-collar.

The ironing sequence of trousers is waist-trousers seam-trousers feet-trousers body.

The ironing sequence of shirts is: sewing-sleeve-collar-back-hem-front shoulder.

Five, how to iron clothes

1 The clothes to be ironed must be washed and not too dry. If the clothes are too dry, put them on a smooth surface before ironing, spray water evenly, or spread a wringing wet cloth on the clothes before ironing.

In summer, if clothes are not washed and dried for a long time, small mildew spots will appear in plastic bags, which can be washed with vinegar before ironing.

The water cloth used must be good cotton fabric, because the temperature that cotton fabric can withstand when ironing is the highest among textiles; If the tarpaulin is damaged or slightly damaged, the wool fabric or blended fabric under the tarpaulin can't withstand the changes brought by high temperature, which will damage the fabric.

When ironing, you should follow the texture of the material. In the case of cutting materials diagonally, you should also iron along the grain.

5 under normal circumstances, first iron the reverse side and then iron the front side; Scald the thick ones first, then the thin ones; Iron nylon first, then cotton and linen.

If the folds of clothes are too deep to be ironed, you can spray some vinegar on them before ironing, which will be easy to iron.

When ironing a lady's clothes, spray a few drops of perfume first. Clothes give off a faint fragrance after ironing, and feel refreshed after wearing them.

8 Hot vinylon fabric should not be padded with wet cloth, because vinylon cloth is a blend of vinylon and natural cotton. Different from other fabrics, it has good heat resistance under dry conditions, but poor heat resistance under wet conditions. If a wet cloth is placed on this fabric during ironing, its strength will decrease by 20% when the water temperature rises to 90 ~ 100℃, and the vinylon cloth will shrink seriously when the water temperature exceeds 100℃, making the cloth hard and hard. Therefore, don't put a wet cloth when ironing vinylon fabric.

When ironing clothes, you can put the washed tablecloth and sheets under the clothes and pay attention to moving the position slightly. In this way, while ironing clothes, tablecloths and sheets will be as flat as ever.

10 If the iron is not smooth when used, some candle fragments can be wrapped in old cotton cloth to rub the bottom of the iron.

1 1 The ironed clothes should be hung up immediately. First of all, damp heat should be dispelled to keep them crisp. The second is to reduce the possibility of mildew and odor.

Maintenance essentials of daily wearing clothes

What should I do if I am dressed and not ready to wash (such as a suit)? Most people should answer to hang it with a hanger. Of course, hanging it with a hanger is the most ideal method. But sometimes when I get home, I hang my coat on the back of the chair. This kind of thing will happen to every working man. So what? What should we do to keep the clothes as they are?

1. Basic maintenance of the package:

In any case, the suit you don't wear must be hung up with a hanger and everything in your pocket should be taken out. As for trousers, the belt is taken out, because our clothes are often easily deformed because of these heavy objects. Perhaps you have noticed that a newly bought suit is often sewn in the pocket because it wants to keep the shape of the suit jacket, not to mention the heavy things such as mobile phones and wallets that are put in the pocket because of laziness, which can lengthen each suit.

Restore the tie to its original state

The tie is handled casually, not inferior to the suit at all. A good tie will keep its elasticity when sewing. If the tie is not restored for a long time, even the best tie will soon die.

This shirt must be ironed.

A shirt that doesn't iron looks very dull, and it also directly reminds people that you are a lazy person and don't even pay attention to the clothes you wear to work. Therefore, you must iron your clothes before you put on your shirt.

These essentials of clothes maintenance are very simple and easy to do. In addition, it is important to remind you not to wear the same dress to work for two consecutive days. Restoring the fabric of clothes to its original appearance will also prolong the life of clothes.

Tips:

In general, we only need to use an ordinary household steam iron. Whether the iron base is clean or not has a great influence on the ironing effect. If the base is found to have the paste of fiber or pulp clothes, it must be wiped clean with a wet towel. The iron used for a long time is often not flat enough, which makes the ironed clothes still have many small wrinkles. At this time, you can drop a few drops of odorless oil or wax on a clean towel and then scald it a few times. The iron treated in this way can not only make clothes stick together, but also save labor when ironing.

Sweater ironing

Sweaters, knitted materials and other clothes will destroy the elasticity of the tissue if they are directly ironed. At this time, it is best to spray water on the wrinkles with a steam iron. If the wrinkles are not very severe, or you can hang them and spray water directly on them to dry, they will naturally be smooth; Another way is to hang it in the bathroom and use the hot steam generated during bathing to make it smooth. There are thinner and thinner materials such as chiffon, which need to be ironed at low temperature. Don't use too much force when ironing to avoid damage.

Iron pants, from the inside out.

When ironing trousers, the sequence is as follows: turn the trousers upside down, open the pockets, iron the crotch first, then iron the pockets, corners and seams, then iron the front, then decorate the two corners together.

Skills of ironing collar

At the neckline, be careful not to stretch and deform when ironing, and it is best to iron after setting; If there is a collar piece, don't burn the crease. Just fold it by hand while it is still hot after ironing, so that the collar piece will look more lively.

No matter what kind of clothes are, they should not be packed or put into the wardrobe immediately after ironing. They need to be hung in a ventilated place to evaporate, and if necessary, they can be dried by a hair dryer to avoid mildew.
